PSP 3000 S&L - Where to buy

I own a Vita but there are several titles that I want that either aren't compatible with the system, or don't have digital versions available. Now I've had a look around various places such as GAME, Gamestop, and Amazon but have encountered various issues:

GAME - don't have any in stock (pretty obvious there :p)

Gamestop - They have the availability listed as used but no description as to what kind of state I can expect them to be in (though the price is the lowest I've seen so that raises some concerns).

Amazon - Listings of them all over the place but they mostly seem to be in appalling condition, cost a stupid amount (around the same amount I paid for my Vita), or the sellers have very vague descriptions of the item or have listed them under the wrong product (such as GOs/1000s/2000s listed under 3000s).

Have also checked eBay but again they seem to mostly be in bad shape, have useless condition descriptions, or have pictures that look like they were taken underwater.

So my question is - do any of you know where I can buy a new PSP 3000, or a used one that's in good shape where I don't have to bid (preferably not costing an arm or a leg either)?

Do you need Wi-Fi, because if you don't then you can get the E1000 version which is still available new (at least on amazon).

CEX?

Cannot comment on quality though.

Haven't used them before but I'll have a look when I get home, cheers :)

Would prefer to have a "full fat" PSP with Wi-Fi yeah :p The street/E1000's a little too cut down for my tastes.

I had this problem last October- they were still on sale at Amazon for £130 which was insane, and I didn't want an E1000 version.

In the end I just scoured Ebay for two weeks checking listings every day until I came across one in good condition and decent price.

CEX or Grainger Games in store would be the only other options.

Yeah it's crazy :( I'd sooner buy a used 3000 than a new E1000, but at this rate eBay might be my only option as the local Game stores don't have any.

Cex aren't to bad make sure you go in store though, I find their standards of "mint" A Grade stuff can be pretty bad at times.

It seems way cheaper to order them from the US (found several sites listing them for around £80 brand new) - would there be any problems with doing so? Or is it region free?

Do they actually dispatch to the UK? AFAIK major US stores won't ship consoles overseas?

Looks like Amazon US do (or at least their sellers do)! And from doing some research it seems it's region free apart from UMDs so will most likely import it as it seems more expensive to buy a used one in the UK than it is to buy it new from the US :p Even if I do get taxed by customs it'll still work out cheaper...

They are certainly region free, I have got a JP PSP 1000 and a JP PSP 2000 and have never encountered any problems.

Thanks for that :) will be ordering one new from the US for $99 when I get home then :D

Regarding the storage - does anyone know which SD card is best to get? I've seen people recommending a CR-5400 something or other that costs £1 at Amazon for using 2 cards at once as storage, but which card is best to get? Have seen a couple on Amazon ~£10 for 16GB/32GB while some of the Sony ones I've seen recommended on other forums cost like £40. Is there that much of a difference to warrant the extra cost? Or is the Read/Write speed that much better with the expensive ones?
