Firmware 3.5 is out and now we can officially stream content from the PS3 over the web :D

All you do is sign into the PS network on the PS3 and turn on Remote Play. Then on the PSP go to remote play, sign in under the same PSN account the PS3 is logged on as and bob is yer uncle :D
I was kinda worried it would be really fiddly to try get it working, but worked first time a treat :)
So now you can stream music/Vids/Pics from your PS to the PS3 and then stream that over the web to your PSP, hmmmmmmm lol
Think this might be the start of bringing the PS network to the PSP :D

Must admit I really like the feature. I've got absolutely no practical use for it at this moment in time, and until there's more wireless hotspots around I can't see that changing. However, I'm really excited about where this could lead. The possibilities are great.

If the files are local to the PS3 then you don't need the PC on obviously. I think the idea is you use it when you're away, not when you're sat looking at the thing ;)

This and the new version of 'PS3 video 9' will mean that if I'm ever bored at work I can just pop out my PSP and watch some Peep Show or My Name is Earl - Great :)

Anyone know if 3.5 handles https pages properly? Tried playing around with one with the wireless lan at work but it really struggled with the https page that the securiy gateway presented.
