Was lucky enough to be given a PSP today as a leaving present at work, and I now need to get myself a game or two. Leaning heavily towards Burnout as I've played it and know how good it is, but I'm willing to listen to other suggestions. What's Pro Evo like on the PSP, any good?

Burnout is briliant for pick up and play.

Wipeout is also good. Although ive not given it a massive amount of time the Untold Legend games seem like pretty good RPG's with a fair amount of life, and Wireless co-op multiplayer :).

SOCOM and Syphon Filter are meant to be good

Lumines and everybodys golf are the 2 i would recommend or need for speed is another good one.

I'm addicted to Football Manager Handheld. It hasn't got the detail of the later Football Manager, but it's perfectly suited to portable gaming.

Pro Evo is good but it’s missing the commentary, got really boring without it for me.

I recommend..

Street Alpha 3
Lumines (Coming to the 360 arcade soon)
GTA: Liberty City Stories
Breath Of Fire 3 (Soooo good) :)

I've got all of the above apart from Lumines, and really do recommend them all!!

My dad got Daxter 2 weeks ago and it seems very good from what I've played.

I also like Mercury (but I love Archer Maclean games).

Just got PES5 this morning but won't be able to play until later (£18 from gameplay). Current favourites are Syphon Filter (great single player and includes wifi multiplayer over the net), Ridge Racer (good for a quick blast), Wipeout and GTA.

You can get a few games in the platinum range now which means they are £14 delivered if you do that hmv voucher thing. Includes everybodys golf.

Suits me, the commentary bores me after a while. Is the gameplay identical to the PS2 version, or is it missing anything?

And thanks for the recommendations guys, keep them coming :)

its not identical no. You can see less on the screen which takes a bit of getting used to. Its a bit harder to control players as accurately as you can on the PC/PS2 versions.

All in all its 90% as good as the PS2 version but can be played anywhere :)

90% of the PS2 version may well be good enough for me, cheers mate :)

I rarely take Pro Evo out of my PSP. The controls are slightly different as there is only one set of shoulder buttons. The options are limited by there being only Leagues and no Cups, which is annoying. The view is slightly closer and you have to use the pitch radar more but it looks and plays fantastic. Works great over Wi-fi multiplayer too. You can pick this up for less that £20 now so it's almost a crime not to get it.

Other games worth a look are Everybody's Golf and Wipeout Pure. GTA is ok if you like GTA games, not a big fan so can't really comment.

But Pro Evo is the thing to play on the PEP(Pro Evo Portable). :D :D
