Looks awesome but oh my god does Sony NOT have 'ergonomic' in their vocabulary?!

No UMD is the single best change about this - I would go as far as to say it will liberate the platform!

Looks nice actually. But come on! Address the issue of dual analogue nubs!!! :o

Not going to happen till psp2, would divide the user base too much and would be a pain for devs to make a 2 different control types in the game.
Also the interent detectives have found that the box art style and font is the same as the box art style/font for the ps3 slim that was posted about a few weeks back, so i guess ps3 slim is confrimed?

Looks like one of the many KIRFs churned out by Chinese companies. I'm sure it will be good, but it just looks cheap.

Hmm, it looks like it'll be more comfortable than the original psp as users can 'rest' the slideout screen on their fingers in order to steady the unit. On the original you had to grip it really hard with your thumbs at the bottom to achieve the same goal, which is what caused the most problems in terms of discomfort for me.

Bluetooth support is good I suppose, I just that they allow you to sync up your PS3 pad with it for use with some of the games, this alone would convince me to by it.

Good point, hopefully they'll keep the ability to hook it up via component too and then it'll become a teeny tiny console! :D

They have removed the umd that sounds like they are dividing the user base to me, so why not give it 2 analogue sticks.

I wonder how many months after japan and the usa we will have to wait for it.

Using the D-pad seems like it would be ok but i can see the analogue inducing severe cramp :( But saying that it might just be me as the PS3 pads causes my left thumb to cramp up a fair bit.

Cant give any judgement on how it looks until i see it properly, the sliding screen looks cool not sure about the positions of the pads and stick but without more info its hard to see it being that comfy though. Then again i find the DS and my iphone not that great to hold for any length of time.

Not really tbh, existing users can still download the games onto a data stick just like these new users will.

Tbh the only reason the DS doesn't get much stick is because you don't often hold it like a controller as you do with the PSP, the stylus was a master stroke as not only is it an interesting input method, it also allows you to hold the device with less discomfort. The only handheld i've ever owned that never induced hand cramp was the gamegear, and that's because it was utterly massive!

Not at all, you can buy a game on UMD or download it? The download version will still work on a normal PSP wont it.
