Bought a psp from the mm and it only comes with a 32mb card so looking at getting a larger one to use cfw.
will a genuine Sony Memory Stick Pro Duo 4GB Mark 2 be ok for this? Seen one for £17 or would the sandisk equivolent be ok? its £2 cheaper ;)

£2? You cheapskate! I always go with the genuine Sony products even if they are a rip-off.

Seem to recall reading along time ago that only Sandisk actually manufacture Pro Duo cards now and they are rebranded by other companies. I got cards from both and they are fine tbh.

Original Poster: Whatever you do don;t buy Sony cards from anywhere that is not a very big reputable online shop as there are more fakes than originals out there.

one more thing when Ive made the magic memory stick and installed everything, can I just reformat the card and use it as a standard one for the psp?

Yes, although the actual files used are less than 50mb (I think) so you can just leave it on their (The rest of the card is formatted correctly and has correct directory structure so you do not lose the ability to use the PSP at all with the files still on there).

if you are getting the card for storage rather than just creating the magic, get a microsd with a converter - much cheaper than pro duo
