Ok I've had my PSP 1000 since day one, and the case is absolutely wrecked so I'm looking into replacing the casing (front/black/buttons) etc but I cant find any guides anywhere.

has anyone done this before?

I'd rather do this than buy a new PSP as it still works perfect.

There are quite a few good tutorials and guides on youtube to have a look at, most of them are fairly descriptive and informative.

I was going to do this on a psp i bought last week as there is dust under the faceplate, but I rang up sony and they told me to return it to the retailers. Though I feel bad taking it back for such a small reason, it works fine otherwise. :( But I can easily see the dust when im using it.

There is a good guide by the guys that make the XCM faceplates, but I think its just video and no sound.

I'm going to say one thing, be careful when changing the faceplate because my friend did and the analog doesn't work any more, Keeps wandering off to the side n stuff.
