PSP yay or nay?

Hi, I'm currently considering getting myself a psp. I know there's a new model coming out soon but the price is far more than I would consider paying for a handheld.

Is it worth waiting or should I go and get one right now?
My main reason for wanting one is to play old ps1 games

I've just picked up a 2nd hand White slim n lite for just over £80. The bloke in the shop forgot to check it, when I got back I noticed it had FIFA 09 and a 2 gb memory stick in it
