...I know where charmap is and I can/have used google, still no joy.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a copy/pastable character that depicts to the power of 4, like x², y³, z4?

Couldn't you just get away with the standard

x^2
x^4
x^(pi^2)

etc..

Unfortunately the lil 4's you are all posting won't go into notepad.

I will try to paste one in when I'm at home but unless it shows in notepad - I'm not optomistic

Does it need some kind of special font/language pack installed?

you probably need arial unicode MS
