Hi all I have a Q.

My system is

Corsair TX650
Q6700 @ STD speed
ATI 4890 1gb @ STD speed
4gb ram (4x1)

Now the thing is I can hear a high pitched squeal from the PSU I have said about this before in these forums and suppose I should RMA it back to Corsair but I cant as I will be left with out a PC.

Any way I have HDmoniter and I am watching the 12+ rail and I never get near 12v max is 11.84v and min is 11.78v.

Is this acceptable?.

Thanks

Most PSUs have a tolerance of between +/- 5 and 10% (usually +/-5% for positive voltages, 12v, 5v, 3.3v, and +/-10% for the negative rails).

11.78v is 98.1% of 12v. Well within tolerances.

Thanks for the reply.

I will look into getting it RMA any way cus the noise is getting to me now.

My mates cant hear it but my bro can its a very very high pitch squeal and I have read that these PSU`s do have this issue on the Corsair website.

Some thing to do with coil wince MAYBE?.
