PSU 12v rail question

It simply means that each rail can supply up to 17A, it doesn't mean that each rail can supply 17A at the same time. The limitation exist because the rails are fed from the same primary coil and rectification. It often needs a little digging to find the figures, generally it's a bad sign if they don't even specify the combined 12v.

That's not 34A/408W
