PSU 20/24 pin adapter ?

Are there any adapters I can use to enable me to use an old 20pin PSU on a newer 24 pin mobo?

Maybe an odd question it's juts not something Ive came across before.

Yes there are although you should just be able to plug your old PSU in, I never bother with the adaptors!

And leave 4 sockets without anything in them?

Yes, so the motherboard can draw more power. All the black cables go to ground too, but they still have loads of them. Means instead of one uber-thick cable, theres a lot more to spread the load.
