PSU 20 pin 24 pin

Hi guys,

just ordered my new kit, DFI Ultra-d mobo, opty 146

my PSU tho is 20 pin ATX and the board is 24 pin, ordered an adapter but can i plug in the 20 pin to the 24 pin socket in the meantime to get windows installed?

sweet,

just leave the 4 pins at the bottom empty (if clip is on the right) and all will be fine? then put in my adapter when it arrives?

Yeah should be fine, I've done exactly the same but I never even bothered with the adapter

. I think all the apapter does is divide the rails you already have, rather than the newer PSUs which actually have new rails.
