Hi all,
Sorry if it's the wrong section but didn't know the best place to talk about power supplies in really. I recently got a GTX 770 and it's all working as it should but at the moment I'm having to leave one of the side panels off due to the cable mess.
The 770 has 2x 8-pin connectors for power and my PSU only came with 2x 6-pin connectors. My current PSU is the following: OCZ ModXStream Pro 600W (Semi-Modular?) but I don't believe you can buy extra or different cables to plug into it? I might be wrong.
So at this minute I am using the following to power the graphics card:
1x 6pin to 8 pin connector (From PSU to Graphics Card)
1x 6-pin to 8-pin connector connected to a 6-pin to Molex adapter
(I have to double check this is right when I'm back home but If I remember rightly this is what I did last night)
So with this taking place and happening inside an Antec 300 there is not much room to go by and now the cables are a bit hanging out so I am not squeezing them too much.
Is there any better solutions to power the graphics card or would it mean replacing the power supply or what? If there's not much I can do then that's fair enough and I'll give it a go at trying to do some more cable management. I think I need to get myself a bigger case at some point so if anyone has recommendations for that as well then that would be sweet.
