I've been planning on buying the new sapphire r9 280x toxic but I'm not sure if my PSU can handle it.
My PSU is an OCZ StealthXStream 600w, which only has a 6+2-pin and 6-pin for PCI-e, whereas the 280x has two 8-pin connections.
The product page does list "- Power: 250W TDP" which is covered by an 8-pin, 6-pin and slot power, right? (300w)
So could I run this card with the 6+2-pin and 6-pin safely, or would I have to buy a new PSU?
I do have 2 spare molex sockets, so could I pair these to a 6-pin, and then pair that with the other 6-pin to power an 8-pin? Or is this a dangerous set up?
