I currently have a CoolerMaster 460w PSU but am upgrading my graphics card from a 6850 to a 7950. I will also be overclocking both my card and my CPU (which is currently at stock).

I feel I may get away with current PSU but also feel it's possibly a bit risky...

So firstly, do people think I need to upgrade, and if so, could you recommend me a PSU?

My build will be:

CPU: i5 2500k (will be overclocked)
MOBO: Gigabyte Z68AP-D3
RAM: 8GB DDR3 1333
GFX: HIS 7950 IceQ Boost
HDD: 500GB Seagate SATA III
1 x DVD-RW
CASE: CoolerMaster Elite 330
MONITOR: 22" 1080p @ 60hz

I was going to recommend that as well but it's only a 40W upgrade. If you're going to buy a completely new PSU at least go for a bit more :D

Well I did think of that but the op's system with the 7950 is not going to pull a great deal, but if his Coolermaster is one of the better ranges he might be able to get away without issue.

I am not sure of the exact model as it came with the Coolermaster Elite 330 Case when I bought it in 2010.

According to my order it is just listed as Coolermaster Elite 460w PSU.

The power and cooling suggested by RJC is seasonic and is a very good PSU. The seasonic G series 550W is £10 more or so but it is Gold rated for efficiency so over the years it will help claw some of the cash back. I doubt the PSU you have now (it came bundled with the case for free didn't it?) is even bronze rated like the P&C PSU.

For a single GPU setup 500-550W is more than ample :)
