Hello all,
It's my first post here so be gentle.

I have a Silverstone ZEUS ST75ZF 750W PSU

http://www.silverstonetek.com/product_legacy.php?area=en&model=st75zf

I am on the verge of replacing my old Nvidia GTX 460 with hopefully a nice new Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 G1 Gaming card. My PSU has x4 PCI-e 6-pin connectors all delivering 18A each according to the specs and it's been suggested to me that all I need to do is get a '6-pin - 8 pin adaptor' to plug in one of the 6-pin to give me the 8-pin connector I need for the 970 card.

Will my PSU work fine with this setup ???

If so, can anyone suggest a good quality 6-pin to 8-pin adaptor that's not cheap rubbish ??

Any help would be gratefully appreciated

Regards
Paul

Hi and welcome to the forums. :)

This is what you need and yes your psu is more than up to the job. It has quad 18A 12v rails giving a max of 720w. The GTX970 is a extremely efficient card and a pair in Sli only has a total system power draw of around 450w.

***Edit*** Better looking version although the description doesn't state that it is a adaptor like the picture shows. A post in the customer service section at the top of the forum will get a reply from the shop staff who will verify that this is a adaptor as the picture shows.
