Hi all

Ok to start ill list what im running

1 x Dvd drive
2 x baracuda 160Gig drive
1 x Maxtor 160Gig drive
1 x Wd 250 external Drive
Water cooling pump
Asus p5n32-sli motherboard
Q6600 cpu
2 x Geforce xfx 8800Gtx Extreams 630 cores
4 x 2Gig ram sticks geil black dragons
3 x cooling fans
1x Ram cooling fan

All this is running off a 700w psu http://www.jeantech.com/storm.htm

The question im asking is . Is this psu man enough to run it all

If not what would you say i should use

I must note that my g/cards need 2 x 6pin power inputs each and im using adaptors for one of the cards
so a new psu must have atleast 2 of the 6pin leads

Many Thx

I couldn't say for definite whether your Jeantech is man enough to supply your rig with adequate, stable power, as I can't find any figures for how many amps it produces @ 12v. Other Jeantech PSU's aren't stellar performers though.

If you did decide to change it, the Corsair TX 650W is about the cheapest I could find that will cope with your system. According to its specs page it has 2 x 6pin PCI-E connectors and it outputs 52a @ 12v, so it's more than adequate power wise. Good build quality and 5 years warranty as well.

Thx for replies guys.

But me using sli and needing 4 x 6 pin inputs for them.

Will it be bad me using 2 x 6 pins from the psu and 2 x 6 pin adaptors coming off the hard drive type power sockets

I'm surprised your cards are working in SLI if you are using power adaptors. Are you sure the cards are not throttling back? You need a PSU with 4 x PCI-E power leads.
