I've got to the point where I have a feeling that something isn't quite right with my PSU. So I think it's probably time for an update/upgrade.
I currently use a Huntkey X7 900w.
Basically, I like things quiet so often buy an overspec PSU for what I need.

I need one to run:
i7 920 @4.2
1x 6950 & 1x 6990 (planned future upgrade)

I was looking at the Corsair HX850, but I assume I will be nearing the top of its draw limit (but admittedly the 6990 is kinda an unknown).
Do you guys think that 850w is enough & anyone know how if Corsair PSU's are noisy?
(I know there are reviews on them etc. But I much prefer to go on people with personal experience :) )
Cheers

edit: Also, has anyone used a "Xclio PSU Doctor and Port Tester"? I've just come across them and it seems a pretty good idea...

The HX850W is more than enough, I estimate you'll only need around 650W to run your system sound.

I have a Corsair HX Modular 620W, it's ridiculously qiuet, cool running and the fan hardly spins. Bearing in mind i'm also running a quad core CPU and several HDD's etc.

I find the efficiency of corsair power supply's are excellent too, usually over 85%

I've owned HX520 & HX650. I've recently built PC's with a CX430 & a VX450.
All of these PSU's are & have been whisper quiet.
