Hi guys,

I think my PSU has been on the way out for a while now but last night it finally gave up the ghost. I have been looking at PSU’s but not sure what to go for. I had an Asus Galaxy 1000W which has served me well (picked it up on the day of release).

I wish to future proof my system as I plan on upgrading before the year is out.
The PSU needs to have decent cable length and be modular as well (ideally fully modular).
The sound level is also important to me, our office is very small.

My current budget is around £100 (under would be better)

I have looked at the following brands
Be Quiet! But the reviews have been a bit negative against their cable layout.
Cooler Master has also caught my eye (my wife has one of their budget 500w ones that has worked fine).
XFX 850W XXX Edition that’s on sale this week (Isn’t fully modular)
OCZ ZT 750W

Are there any others that would fit the bill?

Can I ask why you want fully modular? Its not as if your not going to be using the CPU and Motherboard cables.

That is a damn good point!

It's just the Asus Galaxy was only semi-modular but didnt just have the MoBo & CPU cable it also had PCI-E and a series of SATA sockets. I just assumed they were all like this.

Thats one wierd semi-modular. I've got a CM Silent Pro 500W where everything bar the motherboard and cpu can be removed.
EDIT: That PSU you have isnt even modular then lol :/

It think it was one of the first modular ones. There were 8 sockets for modular cables one of my pet hates was the size of the bloody thing lol

My current spec is in my sig,

New Spec will be i7 (1155)
16gb RAM
And possibly SLI although I might just sell my 480 and upgrade to the 600 series when they come down in price.
