OK I'm going to replace my PSU, not because my old one isn't working, but because I have heard mixed reviews about it, and to be honest, I want a top quality one in my PC! I need to know though, how much Wattage I need.
Here are my current specs...

Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz (Ivybridge)
16Gb GeIL EVO Leggera DDR3
Gelid GX7 CPU Cooler (Twin Fan setup)
Gigabyte Z77X-D3H
Asus Xonar DGX 5.1
MSI 7850 OC 2Gb Twin Frozr IV
Intel 330 Series 120GB 2.5" SATA 6Gbs SSD
Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 1TB SATA 6Gbs
Antec 900-2 Case
Jeantech Storm 700W PSU

I plan to replace the case at the same time with a Corsair Graphite 600T, and somewhere in the near future I may replace/upgrade/add fans.
How much power do I need? A quick search on Google, and a PSU calculator tells me I need 500W minimum. Shall I then aim for 600W, or more?

http://extreme.outervision.com/psucalculatorlite.jsp - this site should give you a rough idea. Personally I always overspec by a 100w or so, more if I am planning on adding a second graphics card etc in future. The main thing is to make sure you buy from a reputable brand

Recommended 419W PSU. Add 100W to be safe, and another 100W Just incase I get a second GPU, 619W. So a 650W would do fine!?!? seems a bit low but ok. Thanks.
PS I will be buying Corsair :D

Get whichever is over 600w, has good reviews, good cabling options and good price. I would just get a Corsair as it would match your case.

I have 7970 1200/1600 [email protected] 4.5GHz, sound card, 8gb ram, 1 hdd, 1 ssd, 5 big fans. System has never used more than 290w even with cpu/gpu on full load.

What do you think of the OCZ as a brand

TBH I've used all sorts of PSU's and never had a problem except a cheap £20 one which died after 6 months. The Corsair I used in a build today was pure class. Nice long braided cables, all sorts of screws and cable ties, and the PSU came in a velvet case. Nice.
