im using a XFX TS 430w made by seasonic with an i3 6100 + GTX960

i want to upgrade to a GTX1070, would i be able to just swap out the cards with no problems?

Can't see too much of an issue, they don't use much power. I'm running a 4.5ghz 2500k, 16gb, ssd/hdd and a clocked 1070 on a 550w PSU.

Assuming you're not clocking it they only use 150w, which is only 30w more than the 960. I can't see you having any problems (apart from the i3 crippling it for a while :p).

Yes you should be fine. My max power usage while gaming with 1070 and i5 3570k is around 270W, so you should have at least 150W of headroom. I'd even go as far as saying you don't need to worry about upgrading the PSU, unless you plan to overclock anything.

Edit: actually my max usage is more like 290W.
