Thanks, though I'm a bit worried about the amperage.. I've been told to be careful, which I'm trying to be.

Any other feedback? I need to be absolutely sure that it'll be fine, the £500 it'll cost me is a lot of money to me, so apologies.. ><

Should do the job but you sure you won't want to crossfire later on? in which case its not enough watts?

Also PSU is really the most important part of your computer, it is PC's heart that pumps energy through it so never ever cheap out on a PSU, better to spend a little more and get the very best you can.

I agree, though I will not be Crossfiring in the future, I just need something that will make do now, if I upgrade parts in the future, I'll definitely upgrade the PSU.

The reason why I don't want to upgrade is I've literally hit the limit of my budget (6p off..) and am trying to get this ordered either today or tomorrow.

It's not necessary that I have it ordered by then, I'm just fairly looking forward to having these components to build.

I understand the wattage is sufficient, it's just the amperage I'm worried about.

But if you guys are sure..

I have one more question, does the heatsinc that comes with that processor (it's retail) have the thermal paste pre-applied? I've looked at similar AMD CPU unboxings on Youtube, such as the Phenom IIs and they are.

I run a i7 @ 4ghz with 2 5850 in crossfire and this pulls 430w at full load.

Wow. I'm running a single 4890 and use just a little less when furmark and primed up. Didn't know the 4890s were that bad for the national grid.

You be fine :)

But I would have one of these on standby :p:D
