Hi,

Just recently bought a new case and the layout puts my PSU at the bottom of the case rather than the top, well this was pretty good since it seems like a better idea anyway but yeah...I have a big fan on my PSU but it faces the floor...

There is however mesh grid on the entire floor of the case as well, suggesting that it would be ok.

Think this is safe? its a 650w OCz ZSseries PSU, case unknown.

Its perfectly normal to have the fan facing down, just look at the rigs in the case forum for proof.

Yes that is what the mesh grid is there for.

AHHHHH the PSU does not lie directly on the floor of the case, there is at least a 15mm gap. Guessing if its designed that way it's safe, cheers.

With the psu fan facing the case floor, it draws in cool air from the mesh vents in the floor and expels it out the back of the psu.

Bottom mounted psu's are the norm now. Though there are some cases that offer the option of both top and bottom mounting.
