hi all, in the process of a new build for a friend, not been into this sort of thing for a while now & I've hit a problem as i expected!! Does PC building ever go smoothly?!
Anyhow, the problem is no boot or post when i switch on, so far just plugged everything in & pressed the switched on.
I think I've installed everything correctly & I managed to not damage anthing when I did this. I've used a jetway microATX motherboard & AM2 sempron howver I may have a broken a golden rule with PSU's & skimped:eek: On the motherboard there is an 8 pin 12v power socket but nothing to connect to it on the PSU, so I think I may inadvertantly bought myself an ATX 1.0 PSU & ATX 2.0 motherboard, if this makes any difference?
Almost a noob again at this kind of thing! Could anyone shed light on this?
Cheers guys

You will need that extra 12v connector plugged in.
Can you not exchange the PSU for the latest vs.

cheers for your help, looks like I'll exchange it for a new one as there doesn't seem to be a p4 connector.
Thanks
