hi all, in the process of a new build for a friend, not been into this sort of thing for a while now & I've hit a problem as i expected!! Does PC building ever go smoothly?!
Anyhow, the problem is no boot or post when i switch on, so far just plugged everything in & pressed the switched on.
I think I've installed everything correctly & I managed to not damage anthing when I did this. I've used a jetway microATX motherboard & AM2 sempron howver I may have a broken a golden rule with PSU's & skimped
On the motherboard there is an 8 pin 12v power socket but nothing to connect to it on the PSU, so I think I may inadvertantly bought myself an ATX 1.0 PSU & ATX 2.0 motherboard, if this makes any difference?
Almost a noob again at this kind of thing! Could anyone shed light on this?
