right i've got a 500w psu, of some make cba looking atm i'll look in a minute
The fan started make noises on startup, which would go away within seconds. Tried hoovering etc didn't make much difference.
Anyway, this grating fan noise started to last longer and longer into startup until i took to hitting the psu with a tonfa bar to shut it up. meant to replace it months ago but never got round to it, so kept smacking it! lol
It now blows no more i noticed the other day, but is still very happy powering the PC.
how long is it likely to keep this up for given there is no cooling inside the psu case? case temps seem fine, as do voltage rails...
