PSU blew up - which replacement?

Hx 850 plus from Corsair, if SLI or Crossfire.

Otherwise anything in the Corsair range with the HX plus or AXi.

Seasonic PSU's are also rated around here as well.

All depends on your budget in the end, and your rig.
 
My 'rig' is ancient.

XP, 2GB Ram, Athlon 64 4800, a single Nvidia 8800GTX does that affect which CPU I should get?
 
Not with that system mate no - that PSU I posted would run quite a nice little system with no issues at all.

Just not worth you paying double when you get a decent branded one with enough power for your system for £36.
 
I've got the PSU, but I think its not going to fit. I have the (b) cable left - for the CPU?
My motherboard is a Asus M2N-SLI and it has a 4pin thing on the motherboard, the PSU comes with 8?
