PSU Blew.....what's likely to have gone also?

Hey guys, looking at a pc for a friend (it's advertised for spares on MM) just curious really, the PSU blew so I bought a new one, put it in and still no post.

The fans spin up, even the ones powered through motherboard headers, the hard drive clicks a few times, although pulled it out and out it in my machine and it works fine.

I guess it is really down to the motherboard, CPU or RAM. Unless people have any other options I could try first, I just assumed if the board was toast, the fans powered off the headers on it wouldn't work?

If anyone could shed my light on this, I'd appreciate it.

What about testing it with one stick of RAM? could be just one stick & not both that's failed.

Forgot to mention,mad tried both RAM DIMMS on their own in every slot on the board.

No POST beep, but no error beeps..!

No beeps means the board has probably died.

Never seen a dead psu kill anything else, are yo sure you connected all the cables from the psu back up? Try resetting the bios as well

Really edscdk???? ive seen that many times will low end psu's

All reseated correctly and bios is reset.

Yeah, never had it until now, thankfully it wasn't mine!
