Hey guys, was in the process of cleaning my computer trying to work out why it was running hot etc, plus why my overclocks were unstable most of the time.

So i took the PSU apart and was greeted with a disturbing sight..needless to say ive taken it out and now ive got to wait for 2 weeks before i can buy a new one.

Below are some pics, there is 3 of them that affected, and 1 is more affected then the others. Kind of explains the heat and unstable clocks if the PSU has been like this for a while..It was an OCZ Modstream 520w. Im doing the right thing by not using it right?

Capacitors smooth voltages and with them blown like that they won't be doing it properly. It certainly explains erratic behaviour with your overclocks but I don't know if it'd make things run hotter.

Thought as much...so for saying sake, if I hadn't of taken it apart and found them, what's the chances of it actually causing damage. As I say I was experiencing trouble with overclocks and the 12v and 3v volt rails were up and down at times.
