Hi, cut a long story short I've been having problems in my house with a wall socket thats a little bit dodgy. My girlfriend plugged her hairdryer into the socket yesterday and the fuses blown in the house. I changed the fuse in the power cord leading to my PC because that had blown aswell but even now the computer does not turn on.

I'm thinking that the PSU has blown but I'm wondering if any of the other components in my computer will be damaged by this? My PSU is a "Corsair 650W TX Series PSU" Just hoping it hasnt affected my other stuff in there :(

One way to test your psu is to link pins 13 & 14 on the main 24 pin ATX connector, but I woud remove all leads from components within the pc and just plug a fan into one of the molex connectors.
