Got a corsair HX620W. Turned on my computer and heard a popping sound. Normally there's a light on the mobo which is on when it's receiving power but that isn't on either. I take it the PSUs gone?

edit: looked on the corsair website and they recommended the paperclip test but I don't have a fan to test it with as the computer has no case. Any other ways I can test it?

psu fan should spin up.

just to completely eliminate the board, have your tried unplugging it from the pc and turning it on by shorting it? (i forget which pins you need...)

Was definitely the PSU. Bought a cheap iCute PSU from a high street electronics shop and the computer switches on. Now I got to figure out why it doesn't post :o
