Hi guys,

I have recently purchased a rtx3070 and noticed it requires 2 8 pin cables.

Having a look at my psu which is a leadex 2 gold super flower I am a bit confused by the cables.

it looks like it is a 9 pin connector going into the power supply but I can’t seem to find these online.
I’m wondering if I can use other cables or will I need to hunt to find 9 pin power supply connectors

cheers,
Martin

So I have 1 9 pin with a 6+2 on the other, but the rtx 3070 needs 2x 6+2 to run. So I was looking to see where I could buy another or what else could be used.

I will need to see if i can find my psu box. I take it the 9 pin isn’t a common connection for PSU’s nowadays?

Does it not have 2 x 6+2 on the end ? Otherwise i Hope you can find the box.

9 pin are not common so i would contact Overclockers as they sell superflower psu or contact superflower directly. Apart from that looking on ebay for some.

When you say "9 pin" I assume you mean the modular cable square box like connector with a PCIE 6+2 on it. Almost every PSU more than 300W will support at least 2x6+2 pin, even my 450W in my server does.

For the most part modular PSU cables aren't sold separately, you will have been given enough to power the GPU at some point.

If you can't find the original cable set (which is the whole point of a modular PSU might I add), then I recommend contacting support at Superflower. I'm also fairly sure you should have 2 headers on each PCIE cable, given that I have the Ladex II 850W, and both of it's PCIE cabele are like that.

In the worst case scenario, you could use a PCIE splitter, but said can be risky.

Looking at pictures of the supplied cables, it should have 2 x single 6+2 cables and 1 x daisy chained cable (6+2 & 6 pin).

If you can't find your spares, as mentioned by others, contact Superflower and see if they will provide one for you.
