PSU cables not long enough

My PC looks a bit of a mess really with wires trailing all over the inside but a few PSU cables aren’t long enough to reach round the side of the case and through the cable management holes - namely a 6 pin and an 8 pin PCIE and a 4 pin and 8 pin EPS. Nice braided 24 pin would finish the look off.

I also like the look of the braided cables everyone has so I’ve been looking round for extensions but they don’t really seem to be a widely available thing - so firstly what do people do if their PSU cables are not long enough for proper management and secondly how do people get such nice looking braided cables?

Well yeah I’ve seen the extensions but they don’t seem to be all that widely used, and the “kits” don’t seem to have all the right cables in them, I mean are they what everyone uses or custom made cables etc?

Just buy the actual cables extensions that you need. Plenty of us on here use cable extensions, myself included, and haven't had any problems. I use the red/black Phanteks ones now but have used Bitfenix ones in the past. Both brands are quality and they look great. The good thing about cable extensions is that they just plug onto the ends of the existing cables so work with any psu.

Ive got a White extension cable for my 24pin... Originally the PSU 24 pin was long enough but i think coloured cables look smarter, Grab ypurself a few extensions they will do the job and look great

OK thanks folks I’ve just ordered some. I know it sounded like a daft question but I didn’t know if just plugging extensions in was the “proper” way of doing it or not.

Ended up ordering a kit plus an extra 4+4 pin EPS extension and I’ve got exactly what I need now.

I don't think I've ever used a case where the PSU was at the bottom that didn't need at least one or two extensions to route stuff sensibly out of sight.

That’s exactly the situation I’m in so that figures. I thought it was just me being bad at routing cables... it’s all done now and although it’s not fantastic it’s 10x tidier than before and good enough for me. Cable management + HDD bays on an Antec 902 are rubbish, I really need to think about getting a new case... paid £20 for it 7 years ago so I think I’ve got my money’s worth...
