Psu - case - hdd advice please

Hi all,

can anyone please advise me please:

I've heard conflicting stories about the Hiper 580w Modular psu, saying that its not for conroe cpu's cos it doesn't have P4-P8 molex?

I have an E6600 with a Gigabyte DS4 mobo, and was thinking of the Hiper psu and maybe another Lian Li PC7 case (i already have one and its great).

Also, hdd's;
was thinking maybe buying a SpinPoint 250GB sataII and keep my existing sata 120Gb to put the page file on? Do you think i'll get better performance by moving the PF to another hdd? OR is it too marginal a difference to bother with having a slower drive in there?

a) i've used the hiper with my conroe and it's fine!
b) as for hard drive's i would seriously look at the seagate 7200.10's they are lightening fast and very quiet!

Some boards still only use the P4 (4 pin, usually with an additional HD/CD molex too) others use EPS12v 8 pin but an adapter (2x4 / molex - P4) or single P4 may be used, others require/strongly recommend a "proper" native 8 pin (such as on the Seasonic PSUs).
