I have a Corsiar 1000w PSU and a Asus M3A32-MVP motherboard. The problem I'm having is that sometimes the PC will randomly shut down.

The reason is to do with the 24 pin cable. The wire is in and seated firmly, but sometimes will randomly come out, it wont come lose, but all I have to do is give it a wiggle and it will power back on again. I dont have another PSU to test with. So I was wondering what I can do. How can I 1st work out if its the 24pin cable or is it the 24pin socket on the board?

Once I find this out, how can I make it a permanent fix? Thanks

Force it in? :P

Or be creative and find away to lock it in, like bend a fan clip to hold it secure, as long as you don't hit a cable and make the clip live that is :)
