Hello, I just built a silent PC with a Dark Power Pro 10 PSU, being the crown jewel of beQuiet! I thought it was a safe bet, but whenever I turn off the PC I get an unpleasant and irritating/unsteady click noise. beQuiet! says it's normal because the "inrush current/power limiter relay", but I want to know if this is also the standard in other brands, a google search brings nothing about this.

Thank you!

I used to have a PSU that done this, cant remember the make i think Zalman or something else with a Z? was a quality PSU though and never had any issues with it for about 5yrs but would click on power off, just one click. Got used to it and ignored it lol.

Yeah, I wouldn't be worrying about it if it functions perfectly and the manufacturer have re-assured you on it.

Well, probably isn't as loud as mine.
Here I have the PSU at only 50cm from my ear, because the case is on desk, and PSU on the front side. It is indeed a switch like sound. I bought beQuiet because they said to have dealed with the electric noise (or was it coil whine?). Maybe I've been tricked : /

edit: well, probably I'm not going to go through the hassle of a refund only for that...

I know... I just want to know how to look things at.
Is it by design? or is it just my unit? I guess the latter but maybe someone with another Dark Power has to tell.
