Hi,
I've just installed an r9 290 into my system. All seemed fine during benchmark tests etc but I've noticed when playing Assassins Creed there are occasional clicking noises. The clicking tends to come with 5-6 clicks together and then a longish break with no problems. Having opened up the case and put my head in I'm pretty confident the noise is coming from the PSU. It definitely sounds like clicking rather than coil whine.
I'm running i5 3570k, GA Z77-D3H mobo, Gigabyte Windforce r9 290, Antec 620W HCG PSU.
Am I right that this PSU should be sufficient or is my system trying to pull too much power with the r9 290 under load?
Should I be thinking about replacing the PSU or returning the GPU or just trying to ignore it? I'm not sure ignoring it is really an option just because of how annoying it is!
Thanks
