I have one of those annoying boot up problems which, after a lot of testing, has led me to believe i have either a PSU problem or a Mb problem.

I'm going to start by replacing the PSU as i was planning on doing a new build in the new year. The new build will be around an Intel chip and the X48 or P35 motherboard my question is will the Corsair TX 650W ATX2.2 have all the possible connections i would need for the new motherboard and yet still be compatible with my present Asus K8N-E motherboard (see sig for spec)?

I’m guessing it will be from the blurb I’ve read below the picture – but I just want to make sure as I’ve assumed to my cost before in the past.

Additional: Is it very quiet as i would like my new rig to be a lot quieter when it's built.

Cheers.

Yes it is compatible with what you have now (although it is possible that you might need to leave 4 pins overhanging if your motherboard is a 20pin connection rather than 24pin) and it would be fine for the future. I'm not too sure on the noise levels but I haven't seen anyone complaining it is too noisy for the little that is worth.
