Hi

im looking for some advice and a psu recommendation.

I have a Gecube 3870 x2 but my current power supply OCZ Stealthstream 600 w only has 2x 6pin power connectors but this card requires 1 x 6 pin , 1 x 8 pin.

Currently im running on just 1 6 pin connector but im unable to overclock, im also thinking of buying another 3870 x2 to run in "Quad" Crossfire so i need a good psu that has 2 x 6 pins and 2 x 8 pins.

Any suggestions

thanks in advance

With the HD 2900 cards you could run 2 x 6 pin (per card) connectors and that was fine (apart from no overclocking with the official tool but third party worked). I confess I don't know if the 3870 X2 requires 2 connectors but as it is 2x 3870s I would think it does and be dubious about running it on a single 6 pin!

I'd think the important part is that you have 4 decent 6 pin connectors but if you want 4 then a few I could find: Thermaltake 1500 Watt, Corsair TX750, PC Power & Cooling 750 Silencer & 1000 Turbo Cool, OCZ ProXStream 1000 and Enermax Galaxy 750 & 1000 Watt.
