Hello
I've had a pc for about 3 years and the psu died. I thought I'd take this opportunity to upgrade it while changing the PSU.

Thought all was well and left computer on over night to download some games. Then started playing Forza and 10 minutes in the whole thing died again.

Is there anything that would cause a PSU to die in 24 hours? I'm paranoid something is wrong with my machine as it's now gone though 2 the latest being a 750w one

The specs are below and thank you for any help

AMD FX 8320 3.8GHz 8 Core CPU
Gigabyte LMT-USB3 AM3 Motherboard
16GB DDR3 Memory (2x8GB) 1600MHz
Radeon RX 589 8GB Graphics Card
1TB SATA III 3.5" Hard Drive
1TB SSD
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO CPU Cooling
5 arctic f20 cooling fans

I don't know anything about pc hardware brands or how to tell if one is good quality or not. I just went for one with a high watt which I could get during lockdown. It is an I-CHOOSE LIMITED LMS Data X700 700W ATX PSU

Would you mind perhaps pointing me in the direction of some quality PSU manufacturers and letting me know the minimum watt PSU which would suit my pc?

Many thanks

Michael
