PSU died, need new one, recs please?

Hey guys,

My newish Corsair AX850 died today, so need a new one, 850w + and have upto £200 budget. (getting a refund)

Want one with a rock solid output and reliability please, and if possible fully modular.

Just seen the Enermax is quad rail, would this be a problem, last multirail PSU I used was back in the day!

Not really. Quad rails are basically single rails, with some over-current protection on individual rails. For example, the new Corsair AX1200i is 'multi-rail', the protection is done via a DSP and adjustable via software.

Getting a refund on it, never had a PSU go on me so not happy/confident to continue using the corsair. So easier to just buy another one as the e-tailer I purchased it from has refunded it in advance of me sending it back

the ax1200i essentially emulates multi rail by setting ocp limits via software. It has a single 100.4amp rail
