Psu enough for my 7900xtx?

I recently grabbed a refurbished Sapphire Nitro+ RX 7900 XTX from Overclockers (absolute beast of a deal at £479!) and I wanted to double-check with the community if my PSU is enough for it.





Here’s my current setup:

• CPU: Ryzen 5 5600X
• GPU: Sapphire Nitro+ RX 7900 XTX
• Motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX B550-E GAMING
• RAM: 32GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-3200 (4x8GB)
• PSU: Corsair RM750 80 Plus Gold (Fully Modular)
• Cooler: NZXT Kraken X63 AIO
• Case: NZXT H510 Flow (with 2 intake and 2 exhaust fans)
• Monitor: 1440p 165Hz

I only play at 1440p max settings (Fortnite, League, GTA, Assassin’s Creed etc.), and I’m not planning to OC the GPU.





Will the RM750 be sufficient for this setup long-term, or am I cutting it too close?

A decent 750w like your Corsair is fine
I was running a 13900k with a 4090 on a 750w PSU with no problems at all and they consume a lot more power than your setup

I have a 700W PSU (Passive, Seasonic) able to powet the 7900XTX with 128GB DDR5 and 7950X with no issues. Most important is the PSU is not one of those "iffy" ones. And it doesn't look like to be the case ehre, so you "should" be fine.

The power consumption isn't the issue, it is the power spikes, since these cards can pull north of 500 watts. Still, not worth buying a new PSU, so I'd just see how it goes.
