PSU - MSI MAG A850GL Modular ATX PSU - 850 W

switched out a system from AMD to intel yesterday and the fan on my PSU is loud, im not sure if 100% but i can hear it all the time.
the second i press the power button its there, but the AMD board back in and silent lol

CPU - 13900kf (intel setting)
Boad - Asus TUF Gaming B760-Plus WIFI DDR5

Any idea's before i switch out PSU's?

What AMD CPU were you running? 13900KF draws a lot of power so likely you're hitting a higher part of the fan curve.

it was a 5700x3d, the problem is the PSU fan not CPU, ever at idle when the system is drawing low power the fan runs at would sounds like 100%

I've never heard of anything like that, assuming your 13900KF hasn't locked itself at 100% or something.

well funny you should say that i noticed in HWinfo all the cores are at full speed when idling with max performance power plan. when i switch to balanced they do drop but after 20min idle its the same
i also observed about a 2,000 point drop when running cinebench at balanced

i may do a fresh windows instill, but i have a new 1000w PSU in the post to try first. my MSI one is still in the return window

hehehe... ok so I'm that stupid

i got a new AIO with for the intel chip as my h150i did have the lga1700 bracket.
turns out the pump at anything over 60% should like a cheap hammer drill..

what i was switching the board i did the cooler too to same me having to remount them.
