PSU: Fan facing downwards or Upwards

Wait, what? I thought all PSUs exhaust...ed (exhaled...? meh you know what I mean) heat from the case, so the fan should be facing up in a bottom mounted case, to pull the hot air out of the case, as part of a front to rear airflow? Or do some cases have fan grills for the PSU so that it can suck cooler air from the room, so it can keep itself cool and noy be part ofthe case air flow?

Yes mate they have fan grills and filters for mounting the fan face-down. (if they are modern and decent).

Personally I prefer mounting mine fan-up for aesthetics but atm My psu is hidden so it's face down.

The fan faces in to the open space where the components are so it can suck in the air. If it is top mounted the fan will face downwards and if it is bottom mounted the fan faces upwards

Makes no major diff since they sit in the top of the case most of the time anyway. however, I like mine pulling in cool air since the CM690 includes a bottom filtered intake, it would be crazy not to use it.

Also the cables dont have that far to go to route behind the MB tray, so you get a neater look & a few CM extra length on your cables.

In any setup, the psu fan should not be viewed as an exhaust fan - it doesn't count.
