PSU Fan rattling

OK I have as XFX 850W PSU ....swapped cases yesterday to my new Corsair AIR 540 ......but today i have noticed a slight fan rattling noise from the PSU ....is it on its way out ?,,..is this normal for it to rattle like that cos if it is .....whats a good replacement please ..the same one or something else ?

ive had it since i got my system , so its over a year old

I wouldnt go messing inside the psu just to change the fan. Just rma back to XFX. I have the same PSU which is about 3.5 years old I moved a few cables and it started to vibrate really loudly it sounded like an internal cable was catching on the fan. I raised a ticked with XFX and they got back to me within a few hours with an RMA so I just posted off to Holland. It cost £20 to post though :-(

I'm guessing he meant a replacement PSU rather than replacement fan

But it's still under warranty - will ocuk handle the RMA?

yeah i meant the psu itself sorry

i think the warranty with OcUK has run out now

They may still handle XFX RMAs under manufacturer warranty, it's worth asking. Since it's a high quality PSU you won't want to dump it really.

Think if i have to dump it i might go for the 650W one

I have the same issue with my XFX 850W XXX Edition Modular '80 Plus Silver' Power Supply.

The PSU is over 15months old..

I've tried emailing XFX for support but the email bounces back....
