PSU Fault

Hi Guys,

Yesterday my PSU started making a strage electrical noise but it comes and goes but now i can't access my D: drive and my computer seems very slow to boot up. Does this mean i need to replace my PSU as i have only had it for 4 months!

Try some benchmarking software like super pi or 3d win mark to check if your getting any slow down or stability problems.

Can you check your drive in another pc or port.

If you've had it for 4 months from new then you should be RMAing it if it's faulty and has warranty

I only have 1 drive so how come the D: says i need to format it again in order for it to work?

My PSU is a Hiper Type M 580w and i have a Q6600, Kingston Hyper X 4Gb, Asus 9800 GTX+
