Need to power up 14 drives. I've just gotten the power connecters to make your own lines up. I was going to add them onto the current ones

PSU is (sorry have too Google the name) PowerStation Gaming 500W Silent ATX2 Modular Power Supply

It has 2 lots of cables with 3 SATA connections per cable.

Am I best making 2 lots of cables up and doing 7 per cable to balance it all out or can I do a single run?

Drives are WD20EARX

what's the use of the pc?

as that would alter the spec of the psu i'd recommend, as most psu will do it, just need some extra cables for them.

for gaming pc, 500 bronze would be plenty

for 24/7 use, then a 500 gold or platinum one would be better, cost would pay for it self over the life of the psu, 3 to 5 years for some, 7 for others

1 x Seasonic G series 550w '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply £76.99
1 x Antec EA 550w '80 Plus Platinum' Power Supply £69.98
1 x XFX Pro 550W Core Edition '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply £54.98
1 x BeQuiet Pure Power L7 530W '80 Plus' Power Supply £54.95

just a few to get you started, like i said above, some will need extra cables to support the number of drives, but all will do the power requirements

tbh never heard of Make either, so guess it's a low end budget type from the look and price, which offers no more cables than any of the above

ah, also just re read what you have typed, you already have it, sorry forget above wrong advice, have no idea on the above product or which way would be better either, doing it wrong could blow the unit as well if you draw more than one lane provides....

WDD WD20EARX 6Gbps 2TB Caviar Green low power, so should be fine on 7 per cable, but 3 extensions on each only give you 12, unless they do more than doubles now days?
