I'd say a decent 400watt psu should be ok. Not sure of your budget but you definately shouldn't scrimp on the PSU.

I had the 580 watt version of this: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-016-TG&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=

It powered an overclocked e6600, 4gb of ram, 3 HDD's and an overclocked 7950GX2 happily.

I see no reason why not!

The 580 that i mentioned also ran a dual core Opteron 165 @ 2.88ghz and the same GX2 with no trouble.

i also just remembered that a friend of mine also had a tagan 430 which happily ran a 4400+ X2, 2gb of ram, 2x 74gb raptors and an x1900xt @ xtx speeds.

450w should be fine especially as I check what psu I'm using (i forgot)
350w hehehe

with 4200+ X2
3gb ram
DVD drive
120gb HDD
X1950PRO 256mb gfx card
