i would say look at good 700W+ PSU is as a starting point

I think 750 is optimum but 850 is a good investment for a bit of future proving.

I own a Tagan PipeRock TG800-BZ powering my 4890s and it hasn't let me down yet!

Modular design is fantastic with v.high quality cables! The light feature also makes for a nice display from side windows.

I had to order a 850w PSU for running 2 x 4890s, it's coming today, watching it through the tracker now (just arrived). My 600w is causing my pc to re-start when under load. Lost a carrier in eve online because of it 2 days ago.

Saying this, I haven't tested my current PSU with any software i.e. put the cards under load and see when it re-starts, anyone know of good software to stress my cards so I can do a before and after test?

This. Corsair, Be Quiet or PC Power and cooling 600W+ Will be sufficient.

I only run a single 4890,it has one 60amp rail,and seems fairly quiet.

amps are more important, having say a 600w 2 years ago would have less amps than a newer 600w today
