I might be selling my mb, cpu ram and cooler to my bro but im keeping my corsair 620hx psu, what would be the cheapest but suitable psu that he would need? Just loads of brands that i dont really know about these days as i bought my corsair about 4 years ago or so.

Well iirc he has a pci nvidia 7800 256 or maybe its 512mb ram card. I think. Tho he can always upgrade it to say a 8800 pcie card if he wants to to somit like a cheap 30 quid card whatevers in MM atm.

Thanks, ill double check what kinda gfx he wants next time i see him but he doesn't play a lot of games mainly footy manager 2012 and he might like skyrim on the pc (has it on xbox 360 tho) so not sure. Ill see what type of games he wants to play then see what card he would need then i guess i should re-ask the psu question but if the games he plays just doesnt need much of a gfx card then they look fine, as long as it can handle the overclock of a q6600 at 3ghz maybe 3.2 depending on his case cooling.

Ok so he is getting my 460 card which requires 2 pci 6 pin cables to power it. So whats the best psu to get for a q6600 @3.2 ghz and has 2x pci-e 6 pin cables and a few sata cables as im getting him that 30 quid ssd to go with his new build.

Ideally under £50 and decent quality with a good warranty.

To fit a p5kc motherboard.

Edit - nvm went with the 550w ocz zs psu as reviews seem decent for it and better than the xfx one
