Nut sure whether this would be better off in the distributed computing section or not but...

So I am thinking about taking the plunge and setting up a folding rig (this may take some months as will obviously have to spread component purchases over several months)

Was looking at the MSIK9A2 Platinum MB as it supports 4 dual slot PCI GFX cards and (eventually) 4xGTX260 (rev2) as they provide decent ppd for price and wattage

So obviously a PSU with much power is required, so it is a coin toss between the Enermax Revolution 1050W and Corsair HX 1000W unless anyone can provide a suitable alternative

Rest of build will likely be restricted to old ide dvd drive, and 640g WDCG HD

Also likely to plump for 2g of DDR2

Ahh thanks for that article it saves me spending more time trawling for MB's. Although I am now umming and ahhing over whether or no to just do something extreme and convert my current I7 setup into a triple GPU folding rig and then run multi smp cpu clients too and build a new I5 rig for everyday use.
